June 19 2011-June 26 2011 Southern Caribbean Cruise 2011
We went on a Caribbean vacation with Larisa Bravo, Anat Chechik, and Evgeny Chechik. The first island we visited was St. Thomas, St. John's Trunk Bay, Barbados, San Maarten, St. Kitts, and St. Lucia. The first place we stopped was St. Thomas and we took an excursion to St. John's. We first boarded a catamaran to St. John’s, which was followed with a bus to Trunk Bay. Trunk Bay is ranked as one of the top beached in the world. The girls took some snorkeling gear and enjoyed the crystal clear water. We went back to the ship and enjoyed the various activities the shipped offer. We saw the ice carving demonstration and enjoyed the Captain formal night. The next stop was Barbados, and we took a shore excursion. We visited Foursquare rum distillery and sampled some of their drinks. Later, we toured the Sunbury Plantation House, and a mahogany-carving factory. The next island we saw was St. Lucia. We went on a catamaran trip to the Pitons. The girls went swimming and Ron bought some coconuts and conchs from a local islander. On the way back we had a party on the catamaran. One of the operators did some dirty dancing, and another girls were dancing with her boobies bouncing out of control. The next island was St. Kitt and we took an excursion. We went to Romney Manor Gardens and Caribelle Batik Studios. We toured the stunning 12-acre garden setting where local artists produce the fabric and apparel for Caribelle Batik. Samuel Jefferson, the great grandfather of Thomas Jefferson, 3rd President of the USA, was the original owner of this splendid estate. Finally, we explored Brimstone Hill Fortress; a 300-year-old fortress perched on a 40-acre hilltop 780 feet above sea level. The final island we visited was St. Maartin and we took a bust tour around the entire island. We walked around the various shops and enjoyed the very humid climate. Overall, we enjoyed the cruise very much and had a wonderful time.
July 1 2011-July 4 2011 Northern California Trip (Photos)
Ron came with a spontaneous and brilliant idea. He wanted to take advantage of the long 4th of July weekend and visit Northern California. We stayed the first night at Pismo Beach and in the morning walked around and enjoyed the views. Then, we drove to Hearst Castle and took a tour. We loved the castle! It had beautiful gardens, architecture, and swimming pool. Then, we took Highway 1 along the pacific and saw the amazing scenery till we reached Monterey. We were very tired and stayed a local motel. The next day we went to Carmel and we met Gideon & Lee. We spent some time with them and walked around the various shops, cafes and galleries. Then, we decided to drive to Pebble Beach. We took the 17-Mile Drive through Pebble Beach. We stopped at various points to take some photos and enjoy the view. We saw the ocean and some various birds and even seals. Later, we returned to Monterey for the evening. The next day we drove home and stopped at Solvang for a little fun at this cute Danish town.

September 2 2011 - September 5 2011 Lee & Gideon Senderov's Wedding
Ron made a little photomontage of the wedding. We drove to Monterey with Pinchas and Erika and had a wonderful time with them. I think this was the first time we went on a trip with them. It was a special occasion since my little brother, Gideon, finally got married. I know that for a very long time I was worried that Gideon would never get married, but eventually he did. I know that the wait was for a reason for his "delay". He had to find Lee! This wedding was very special and was without a doubt the most beautiful we ever attended. It took place in Pebble Beach right next to the 18th hole. Gaby sang a Shabbat song, which she learned in Camp Alonim. Gaby, like a champ, performed very well and you can hear sing it with this video. I am very happy for my brother, and only wish our mother could see it.

October 21 2011 Gabriella's President Speech
Gaby wanted to become the President of the student council in Yerba Buena Elementary. In the beginning she did not want to run. Gaby was afraid of loosing to one of the other candidates Bella Rouso. Bella was very popular and intimidating. At the end Gaby made the right decision, she ran and won. According to Mrs. Desiderio (YP Principal), Gaby was the best president the school ever had. At the end of the year, after the graduation, Mrs. Desiderio told Gaby that one day she would be a future US president. If you ever read this Gaby, I wanted you to know this "Never be afraid to go after you dreams". There is only one thing worse than loosing, it is not knowing. If you did not run you would never know if you could win. If you loose your might hurt your ego that’s all.

December 17 2011 - December 31 2001 Hawaiian Islands Video
We went on a two-week cruise from San Pedro to the Hawaiian Islands. We decided to take with us Dov & Rachel. This time we went on Sapphire Princess. Te ship was very beautiful but different than Royal Caribbean or Carnival. It took us some time to get used to the ship, but we had two weeks to explore it. A popular place for the girls was the ice cream station. Kyra even got to go on the bridge and wear the captain’s hat. The first Island we toured was Hilo Hawaii. Our journey began with Akaka Falls. We traveled north from Hilo along the Hamakua Coast, passing large farms and old sugar cane fields, en route to Akaka Falls. Upon arrival, we saw breathtaking falls that plunge 422 feet over a volcanic ledge, framed by lush rainforest. A one-mile circular stepped-path leads through the forest to the falls. Then, we to Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Farm. During harvest a visit to the farm will show you how macadamia nuts are processed and packaged. Finally we went to see the Dole plantation. The next day we went to Oahu and took an excursion to the Polynesian Cultural Center and had a great time looking at the various islands and performance. The next day we stopped at Maui. We decided to take a bus and spend some time at the beach. The last island we were supposed to see was Hawaii but due to high winds the captain decided not dock. This day we just sailed along island coast and we got to see a full rainbow. Finally, it took an additional four-day of sailing to return to Los Angeles.
